What this site collects, why, who it goes to, and how to get it removed.

Who we are

NFL Mock Draft Simulator ("we", "us") operates nfldraftmock.com. We are an independent site, not affiliated with the NFL or any club. For any privacy question or request, contact contact@nfldraftmock.com.

Summary

Most of this site requires no account and collects nothing about you personally. Running a mock draft happens entirely in your browser, and your picks, trades and simulation results are never sent to us. The exceptions are the Groups feature, which stores the names and picks you deliberately submit, and third-party advertising and hosting, which involve standard web data. Details below.

Information we collect

Mock draft simulations: nothing collected

When you run a mock draft, everything happens locally in your browser. Your team selection, picks, trades and results are held in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close or reload the page. None of it is transmitted to us or stored on any server.

Groups: information you choose to submit

If you create or join a Group to compete against other people, we store the information you enter in order to run the competition:

• The group name you choose
• The display name you enter for yourself (and, if you create a group, your name as commissioner)
• The NFL team you select
• The draft picks you submit

This data is stored in a hosted Redis database operated by Upstash, and is retained so group members can see the leaderboard. We do not ask for your email address, and we do not require an account.

Display names are visible to anyone with the group link. Please use a first name or nickname rather than anything you would not want other participants to see. Do not enter sensitive personal information into any field on this site.

Source Scraper: URLs you paste

The Source Scraper lets you paste a URL so the tool can read draft reporting from that page. We do not log or retain those URLs. However, when a page cannot be fetched directly by your browser, the request is routed through a third-party proxy service (AllOrigins, api.allorigins.win) in order to work around cross-origin restrictions. In that case the URL you pasted is transmitted to that third party, whose handling of it is governed by their own policies. Do not paste URLs containing private or sensitive information.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like virtually all web hosts, Vercel processes standard request data, including IP address, user agent and requested URL, for the purpose of serving the site, security and abuse prevention. We do not use this data to identify individuals.

Local storage

We do not use cookies or local storage to track you. The only use of browser local storage on this site is on the private administrator page, which stores an administrator's own access key on their own device. This does not apply to ordinary visitors.

Advertising

We display advertising from Google AdSense on our content and reference pages (draft results, rankings, team pages and analysis). We do not run advertising inside the mock draft simulator itself.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

• You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
• Google's practices are described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you are in a region where consent is required for advertising cookies, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, that consent is collected through a Google-certified consent management platform before any personalised advertising cookie is set. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by reopening that prompt, and you may decline personalised advertising entirely and still use every part of this site.

Outside those regions, no consent prompt is shown, and you can opt out of personalised advertising using the Google and aboutads.info links above at any time.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above only to: operate the Groups feature and display group leaderboards; serve and secure the website; and serve advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers named in this policy.

Data retention

Group data is retained while the group is active so the leaderboard continues to work. You may request deletion of a group and its submissions at any time by emailing contact@nfldraftmock.com with the group link. We will delete it and confirm.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

Because we do not operate accounts and collect very little, in most cases the only data we hold is a display name you entered into a Group. To exercise any right, email contact@nfldraftmock.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the Groups feature, contact contact@nfldraftmock.com and we will delete it promptly.

Third-party links

Our pages link to external sites, including outlets whose reporting we cite. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold, including transport encryption (HTTPS) across the entire site and authenticated access to our data store. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

Our service providers, including Vercel and Upstash, may process data in the United States and other countries. By using this site you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
